Alright, the weekend is here, the weather is suppose to be perfect (almost summer-like), and you're looking to fill up your schedule. If you don't want to be stuck inside when the weather outside promises to be picturesque (and who knows how many more days like this we'll get), there are always some local events happening that you might want to check out:

Purrfect Pizza Challenge

Nothing to do on a Friday night? Check out who has the best pizza in town. The Second Annual Purrfect Pizza Challenge, sponsored by Friends of Feral Cheshire Cats (FFCC) will bring together pizza makers from all over town to see who's pie reigns supreme. There will be a raffles and gift baskets available. Tickets are $10 per person, and includes pizza, bottled water, and desert.

St. Peter's Pumpkin Patch
St. Peter's Church, 59 Main Street
Do you like pumpkins? If so, come out to St. Peter's Church Friday night and get your perfect one. If you can't make it then, not to worry. Pumpkins at the Patch will be available for the next several weeks.
Saturday, Oct. 8
United Methodist Church Chili Dinner
United Methodist Church, 205 Academy Rd.
If you're a chili fan, this is the perfect event for you. Come on out to the UMC Chili Dinner and enjoy a variety of one of America's favoirte comfort foods. Price is $10 for adults, $5 for children. Call Tracy at (203) 272-1062 with questions or to reserve tickets.

10th Annual Mark Jardim Memorial Jog
Former Cheshire resident Mark Jardim tragically lost his life during the September 11, 2001 attacks in New York City. Come celebrate his memory and raise funds for good causes, including for Joshua Budd, this Sunday.
