Cheshire PD To Use 3-Wheel Motorcycle

July 22, 2011 by Josh Morgan

Residents, keep your eyes peeled for a futuristic looking motorcycle cruising the streets of Cheshire, but make sure you obey all traffic laws, as this bike belongs to the Police Department.
The space aged 3-wheel motorcycle is on loan to the department for the next year, thanks to a Waterbury business. It has been decked out in police colors and outfitted with the typical blue and red flashing lights. Most 3-wheelers have two wheels in the back and one in the front, but not this one, as there are two wheels in the front and one in the back. Members of the department's traffic division will be riding the motorcycle over the next year. Department spokesman Lt. James Fasano said there was no cost to the town to use the motorcycle.
For more information on the 3-wheel motorcycle, see the July 28 edition of The Cheshire Herald.
