Those of you who have been craving that Big Mac or a Quarter Pounder with Cheese for the last several weeks won't have to wait much longer to get your fix.
McDonalds, located on 850 South Main Street, is slated to reopen within the next few days and a "grand opening" celebration, replete with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, will be held this coming Monday at 10 a.m.
According to a press release circulated by McDonalds, the ceremony will include the ribbon cutting, flag raising, and several Town of Cheshire officials, including Cheshire Town Council Chairman Tim Slocum, will be on hand.
Also in honor of the new facility, owner/operator Rachel Deane has pledged to donate to Relay For Life. For every McDonald's of Cheshire Extra Value Meal coupon redeemed from the June 10 event, the restaurant will donate $1 (up to $2,000).
McDonalds has been closed since April when the old facility was torn down to make way for the new structure. According to the press release, the new restaurant will have "comfortable seating, beautiful lighting and décor, flat panel TVs, WiFi, double drive thru, artwork depicting historic Cheshire, and a pleasing exterior design." The facility will also now be open 24-hours a day, according to the release.
