Cheshire High School ice hockey head coach Jim Riccitelli announced his retirement today. Riccitelli led the Rams to a pair of Division II state titles (2008-09; 2010-11), winning the 2005-06 D-III crown in his first season. The Rams also secured back-to-back Southern Connecticut Conference D-II tournaments in 2008-09 and 2009-10, respectively.
Riccitelli, the 2010 Connecticut High School Coaches Association Coach of the Year, instructed ice hockey players for 34 years. Check back for comment.
