Councilor In Critical Condition After Accident

March 28, 2011 by Josh Morgan

Republican Town Councilor Anne Giddings is in critical condition at St. Mary's Hospital after a car accident last week.
The accident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on March 22, on Boulder Road, near Giddings' home. Police believe she "failed to negotiate" a left curve, drove over an embankment, and struck a telephone pole. The crash resulted in her car being flipped over on its roof. Police stated Giddings was conscious when they arrived on the scene.
The official police report is not available at this time as officers wait to speak directly with Giddings. No description as to the extent of her injuries has been released.
Check back to The Cheshire Herald for more details as they become available.
