In Thrilling Finish, Cheshire Football Drops 20th Apple Valley Classic To Southington

The 20th Apple Valley Classic proved to be one for the ages. Cheshire High School football (4-6) trailed Southington by 14 points three times, but they used an late onsides kick to help earn their only lead 29-28 with 1:48 remaining.

Cheshire High School football (4-5) will end the year hosting two-time defending Class LL Champion/top-ranked Southington (9-0) on Thanksgiving at 10 a.m. It will be Senior Day for players, cheerleaders, and band members.
CPTV Sports will broadcast the game live. The Blue Knights have won the last three meetings to take a 10-9 lead in the series.

CHS Girls Drop 18th Powder Puff Classic At Southington

In the 18th Powder Puff Classic, Cheshire High School girls came up short 10-0 at Southington. After a scoreless first half, the Lady Knights scored twice.

Cheshire Girls To Travel For The 18th Powder Puff On Tuesday, Robidoux To Have Signing For AIC

For Tuesday's 18th Powder Puff Classic, Cheshire High School girls will visit Southington at 6:30 p.m. Tomorrow, people can still purchase pre-sale football tickets ($6 each) in the athletic offices of both schools. Admission is $8 at the game.
The Lady Knights have a 10-6-1 edge in the series.

CHS Field Hockey Comes Up Short Against Wilton In L Final Thriller, Local Swimmers Compete In The State Open

In Saturday's Class L final at Wethersfield, Cheshire High School field hockey (fifth seed, 15-3-2-2) came up short 1-0 against Wilton (sixth, 18-5) in overtime. Wilton senior Jillian Mahon posted the game-winner with 1:57 remaining in overtime.

CHS Field Hockey, Local Swimmers To Compete For State Crowns On Saturday

On Saturday, Cheshire High School field hockey (fifth seed, 15-3-2-1) makes their fourth Class L final appearance in the last five years. CHS pits a three-game win streak against Wilton (sixth, 17-5) at Wethersfield. Start time is 2 p.m.
In 2011, Cheshire shut out Norwalk 1-0 to win their ninth state title.
