CHS Softball, Baseball, Boys' Tennis, And LAX Teams Sweep On Friday

On Friday, Cheshire High School softball (11-0, 5-0 in Housatonic Division) extended their undefeated season with an 11-0 win at North Haven (5-6). CHS won the regular-season series (2-0).
As pitcher, junior co-captain Abby Abramson recorded 13 strikeouts. She yielded two hits and two walks. At the plate, Abramson worked a walk and scored a run.

CHS Girls' Tennis, Boys' Volleyball Earn Victories On Thursday

On Thursday, Cheshire High School girls' tennis (8-1) picked up their eighth consecutive victory 4-3 over Guilford (4-4).
Freshman Lila McNamee (6-2, 7-5) and senior Amanda Murray (6-0, 6-0) came away victorious in singles. Junior Alexa Wetmore and freshman Jenny Wang (6-4, 6-3) and senior tri-captain Serena Steskla and junior Katie Tomko (6-1, 6-0) won in doubles.

On Wednesday, Cheshire High School softball (10-0, 5-0 in Housatonic Division) remained unbeaten with a 17-3 victory over Lyman Hall (5-6, 1-4).

CHS Track And Field Teams, Girls' Lacrosse, Boys' Volleyball, and Girls' Golf Earn Wins On Tuesday

On Tuesday, Cheshire High School outdoor track and field teams extended strong seasons at Sheehan. CHS girls beat Amity (82-68) and the host Titans (84-66) to stay unbeaten at 7-0.

CHS Softball, Baseball, Boys' Lacrosse, and Tennis Teams Earn Victories On Monday

On Monday, Cheshire High School softball (9-0, 4-0 in Housatonic Division) posted a 2-0 shutout of Amity (7-2, 3-1). Both teams entered unbeaten in division play.
Cheshire tallied runs in the third and fourth innings. In the third, junior Sam Simione doubled and came home on an RBI single from freshman Bri Floyd.

CHS takes a five-match win streak to Jonathan Law (4-3) at 3:45 p.m.

CHS Softball To Hold Home Run Derby To Battle Colon Cancer

Cheshire High School softball is hosting a Home Run Derby next Thursday at 4 p.m. All proceeds will benefit Tufts Medical Center (Massachusetts) for colon cancer research. Registration will take place at the softball field. Participants can purchase 
five swings ($5) or 10 swings ($10).


CHS Girls' Lacrosse Wins Big Over South Windsor

On Saturday, Cheshire High School girls' lacrosse (5-3) picked up their third straight win 16-2 over previously unbeaten South Windsor (5-1). The Rams took a 12-1 halftime lead.
Sophomore Mia Pulisciano posted a career-best five goals, while junior Brooke Jackson tallied four goals in her season debut.

In Thursday's home opener, Cheshire High School softball (4-0, 2-0 in Housatonic Division) shut out North Haven (3-1) 16-0. Due to the mercy rule, the game was stopped in the fifth inning.
CHS wasted no time offensively, scoring eight runs in the first inning.

On Friday, Cheshire High School softball (5-0, 2-0 in Housatonic Division) shut out Sacred Heart Academy (1-3) by a score of 4-0. Junior co-captain/pitcher Abby Abramson recorded 12 strikeouts and yielded just two walks in posting her first no-hitter.

On Saturday, Cheshire High School girls' lacrosse (2-3) fell 8-5 at Branford (3-1). The Rams led 1-0, but Branford scored three straight goals to take the lead for good. The Hornets led 2-1 at halftime.

On Saturday, Cheshire High School baseball (2-0) came back from a 1-0 deficit to win 7-1 at previously undefeated Wilton (3-1).
After Wilton went ahead 1-0 in the second inning, Cheshire scored three runs in the third. They added two each in the fourth and fifth.
