CHS Girls' Volleyball, Swim And Dive Remain Undefeated

On Monday, Cheshire High School girls' volleyball (6-0, 2-0 in Housatonic Division) secured their 33rd consecutive victory 3-0 at Sheehan (5-1, 0-1). Game scores: 25-17, 25-18, 25-22.

CA Football Starts The Year With Road Win

On Saturday, Cheshire Academy football (1-0) won the opener 49-20 at Pomfret School.
Next week, they travel to Avon Old Farms School at 2:30 p.m.

Rams Boys' Soccer Takes Second Straight One-Goal Loss

On Saturday, Cheshire High School boys' soccer (0-3-1, 0-1 in Housatonic Division) lost 1-0 against host Notre Dame-West Haven (3-0-2) at Veteran's Stadium. The only goal from ND-WH senior Alexander Ossa came with 35:51 left in the first half.
Senior goalkeeper Matt Skydel compiled six saves. The Green Knights took 11 shots to Cheshire's four.

On Friday, Cheshire High School football improved to 2-0 with a 45-0 shutout at Lyman Hall (0-2). CHS took a 31-0 halftime advantage. Scoring summary:
First Quarter
19-yard touchdown from senior Andrew Yamin (7:45) 7-0, CHS
Extra point from junior Matt D'Andrea was good
20-yard touchdown from Yamin (6:39) 14-0, CHS

Gallagher Picks Up Her 100th Win, Cheshire Girls Sweep On Friday

On Friday, Cheshire High School field hockey (3-1-1) defeated Sheehan (3-2) 4-1. Sophomores Sarah Pierpont (assist) and Bailey Cunningham collected their first goals, while classmate Julie Roche added her first point (assist). Seniors Erica Stauffer (assist) and Kya O'Donnell chipped in goals. Cheshire also received an assist from senior Sara Como.
