CHS Boys' Basketball Drops Overtime Thriller In SCC Quarters

In Saturday's Southern Connecticut Conference quarterfinal, Cheshire High School boys' basketball (10th seed, 13-9) came up short 59-57 against Hillhouse (second, 18-3) at Branford. Hillhouse senior Troy Walters, Jr. netted the decisive layup with 0.2 left in overtime.

CHS Skiing Makes History On Team Connecticut

For the first time under Head Coach Toby Brimberg, Cheshire High School skiing placed four racers on Team Connecticut this year. Senior Liz Cunningham and junior Meghan Diamond, CHS tri-captains, will compete for the girls' team. Sophomores Jared Chase and Anders Norback qualified on the boys' side.

Kehoe Picks Up His 100th Victory With CA Boys' Basketball

On Friday, Cheshire Academy boys' basketball (17-9) won the final regular season home game 84-55 over Berkshire School. Dean Weiner (19), Ricky Leonard (12), and Austin Nehls (10) supplied double-digit points. Head Coach Kevin Kehoe earned his 100th win at CA.
The Fighting Cats cap the regular season with Saturday's trip to Pomfret School at 2:30 p.m.

Skibitcky Jumps In The New England Championship, SCC Swim And Boys' Basketball Updates

Cheshire High School junior indoor track and field athlete Janaia Skibitcky competed in Friday's 28th New England Interscholastic Championship, placing 18th (15 feet, 11.75 inches) for long jump at Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Roxbury, Mass.
Skibitcky ends her season as the CHS record-holder (17'8.25").

CHS Boy' Basketball Upsets Host Hand In SCC First Round, Ice Hockey Earns Tie On The Road

Cheshire High School boys' basketball (10th seed, 13-8) earned a 74-69 win over host Daniel Hand (seventh, 12-9) in Thursday's Southern Connecticut Conference First Round at Polson Middle School. CHS led 36-31 at halftime and held off the Tigers at the end.

CHS Girls' Basketball To Travel To Crosby For LL First Round

Cheshire High School girls' basketball (12-9) has received the 18th seed for the Class LL Tournament. They will visit Crosby (15th, 15-5) next Tuesday at 7 p.m.
The victor will play the winner of host Wilton (second, 19-1) and Newington (31st, 8-12) next Friday at 7 p.m.

CHS Ice Hockey Comes Up Short Against Trojans, Boys' B-Ball To Travel For SCC First Round On Thursday

In Wednesday's final regular season home game at Wesleyan University's Freeman Athletic Center, Cheshire High School ice hockey (7-10-1) dropped their fourth straight game 3-0 to Simsbury (11-8).

Fitzpatrick Leads Mercy Basketball To First SCC Title Defense, Receives MOP Honors Again

On Wednesday, Cheshire resident Maura Fitzpatrick played a key role in Mercy basketball (top seed, 22-1) defeating Daniel Hand (third, 20-3) 57-52 for their second consecutive Southern Connecticut Conference title. Fitzpatrick, a senior co-captain, supplied 19 points, eight rebounds, and two assists, earning Most Outstanding Player just like last season.
