CHS Varsity Sports Slate For Tuesday

On Tuesday, Cheshire High School teams compete in Southern Connecticut Conference action. Capsules are below:
Outdoor Track and Field
Cheshire boys and girls visit Sheehan for the SCC Championship at 1 p.m.
Boys' Tennis (fourth seed, 14-3)
The Rams host Guilford (fifth, 9-7) in a First Round match at Cheshire Park. Start time is 3:30 p.m.

Stauffer Returns To D-III National Final, CHS Boys' Lacrosse Falls In Finale

Sophomore mid-fielder Nicole Stauffer, a 2013 Cheshire High School graduate, contribute to Trinity College women's lacrosse beating Franklin & Marshall College 11-6 in Saturday's NCAA Division III semifinal in Chester, Pennsylvania. Down 4-2, the Bantams scored a season-high nine consecutive goals! They started the second half on a 7-0 surge.

CHS Softball Caps Best Regular Season, Baseball And Boys' Tennis Also Win On Friday

On Friday, Cheshire High School softball (19-1, two-time defending Housatonic Champion at 8-0) beat North Haven (10-10) 9-1 to sweep the series. The win capped the program's best regular season.

Corrected Dates For CQVIT Tournament

The dates of Cheshire Soccer Club's Connecticut Quinnipiac Valley Invitational Tournament (CQVIT) were incorrectly printed in today's issue of The Cheshire Herald. The girls' event will run Saturday and Sunday at Quinnipiac Park. Teams from Connecticut and New England will play in different age divisions.

There is no admittance fee.

CHS Softball Takes First Loss, Girls' Tennis Falls On Senior Day, Varsity Schedule For Friday

On Thursday, Cheshire High School softball (18-1, Housatonic Division Champion at 8-0) took their first loss 4-3 to Lauralton Hall (16-3). The teams went 1-1 in the regular season.

CHS Softball, Boys' Golf Pick Up Victories On Wednesday

On Wednesday, Cheshire High School softball (18-0, Housatonic Division Champion at 8-0) extended their perfect season with a 7-0 victory over Daniel Hand (12-7). Senior pitcher Mackenzie Juodaitis (two-hitter, 13 strikeouts, two walks) improved to 16-0, beating the Tigers for the second time this year.

CHS Track And Field Earns Medals In SCC East Sectional, Boys' Tennis Extends Win Streak

On Tuesday, Cheshire High School outdoor track and field athletes shined during the Southern Connecticut Conference East Sectional meet. The girls’ squad placed second (99.5 points) behind only Amity (141), while Cheshire boys placed fourth (71).

Softball (17-0, Housatonic Division Champion at 8-0)
Cheshire hosts Daniel Hand (12-6) at 3:45 p.m. CHS won 5-3 on April 17.
