CHS Girls' Teams Go Unbeaten On Monday, Varsity Sports Slate For Tuesday

On Monday, Cheshire High School girls' swim and dive (5-0) collected their 27th straight dual-meet victory 94-82 over previously undefeated Sacred Heart Academy (4-1). CHS touched the wall first in each event.

Monday's Cheshire High School varsity fall sports schedule:
Girls' Soccer (4-1)
CHS pits a four-game win streak against Amity (4-0-2) at 6 p.m.
Girls' Volleyball (4-1)
Winners of three straight matches, Cheshire hosts Sheehan (6-1) at 6:30 p.m.
Girls' Swim and Dive (4-0)
CHS hosts Sacred Heart Academy at 7 p.m.

CA Football Comes Up Short In Home Opener

On Saturday, Cheshire Academy football (0-2) dropped the home opener 34-22 against Lawrence Academy.
Next Saturday, the Fighting Cats host St. Thomas More School at 7 p.m.

Daddi Wins X-C Title At Winding Trails Invite, Helps Her Team Finish Third Overall

On Saturday, Cheshire High School cross country teams visited Farmington for the Winding Trails Invite. Junior Lauren Daddi won the girls' varsity race in a personal-best time (19:09), leading CHS to a third-place finish behind Newtown and Avon.

CJF & Cheerleading To Compete In Road Action This Weekend

This weekend, Cheshire Junior Football & Cheerleading is playing all their games on the road. On Saturday, third/fourth grade (3-0) visits Manchester High School to face host Manchester at 2 p.m.

CHS Girls' Soccer Rallies To Earn Fourth Straight Win On Friday, Field Hockey Team Shuts Out North Haven

On Friday, Cheshire High School girls' soccer (4-1) came from behind to earn their fourth straight victory 2-1 over host Guilford (3-2-1) at Bittner Park. The Indians took a 1-0 lead on a goal by senior captain Andrea Basilicato with 1:23 remaining in the first half, but CHS answered with two goals (5:03, 3:13) from senior tri-captain Sarah Clark to win the game.

CHS Football Explodes For Big Win Over Sheehan In Home Opener, Improves To 3-0

On Friday, Cheshire High School football (3-0) scored 49 straight points to erase a 6-0 deficit and defeat Sheehan (0-3) 56-18 in the home opener. The Rams led 49-6 at halftime.

CHS Girls Remain Unbeaten In The Pool On Thursday, Varsity Slate For Friday

On Thursday, Cheshire High School girls' swim and dive (4-0) picked up their 26th consecutive dual-meet victory 98.5-79.5 over Lyman Hall (1-3). CHS received three victories from senior Lily Kurtz, junior Liz Boyer, and sophomore Esther Han. Individually, Kurtz came away victorious in the 500-yard freestyle (5:31.33).

Cheshire Junior Football & Cheerleading has five games scheduled on Sunday. Before each of the three home games at Cheshire High School's Alumni Field, the program has planned ceremonies to mark the 15th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks on the United States.
