On Thursday at New Haven's Floyd Little Athletic Center, Cheshire High School girls' indoor track and field senior tri-captain Janaia Skibitcky earned her first Class LL indoor crown in long jump (17 feet, 4.5 inches). It is her third state crown overall.

On Wednesday, Cheshire High School girls' basketball (7-11, 2-5 in Housatonic Division) earned a 68-34 victory at Waterbury Career Academy (2-17), sweeping the season series. CHS scored 57 points in the last three quarters, outscoring Waterbury 23-3 in the third quarter alone.

On Saturday, Cheshire High School boys' basketball (7-8, 4-2 in Housatonic Division) collected their fifth straight victory 59-32 over Lyman Hall (8-8, 0-5). CHS shut out the Trojans 19-0 in the opening quarter and they took a 37-13 advantage at halftime.
