CHS Boys Swim To Seventh Place In State Open, End Winter Season

On Saturday, Cheshire High School boys' swim secured seventh place (263 points) in the State Open final at Yale University's Robert J.H. Kiphuth Exhibition Pool. Senior Jamie Eigner and juniors Ben Brewer, Dara Malone and Jack Hanke joined forces to place third in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:11.1) and fifth in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:28.09).
Brewer finished sixth in the 200-yard individual medley (1:55.43, best time) and ninth in the 500-yard freestyle (4:45.74). Eigner nabbed seventh in the 100-yard freestyle (47.83) and tied for ninth in the 50-yard freestyle (22.14). Senior Ryan Mostoller recorded ninth in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:00.11) and 16th in the 200-yard IM (2:00.29).

Greenwich won the team title (465.5). Cheshire will graduate Erickson (captain), Matt Mita (captain), Mostoller (captain), Nguyen (captain), Wynne (captain), Eigner, and Page this season.
